Welcome to the North Park KOA online!
Twenty
miles from Walden, the nearest town, this alpine campground is as
peaceful as the surrounding scenery is beautiful. Big, aromatic
lodgepole pines shade campsites at an elevation of 8,800 feet with views
of the Medicine Bow mountains. Many campers come here simply to relax.
Squadrons of hummingbirds drop through to eat; moose and deer also are
frequent visitors. Those who want to stay busy can hike, mountain bike,
explore ATV trails and take outfitted horseback rides. Trout are
abundant in nearby Michigan Reservoir and in many nearby streams.
Stop in the campground store for
fishing supplies and advice. Turn the kids loose in the playground
(check out the log fort!). Weekend state forest/park interpretive
programs include talks and nature hikes. Join us for pancakes and
sausage to start your day. |
